West Virginia University

Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately, the Seamless Transition Program is no longer accepting applications for new participants. Have a great summer!

The Seamless Transition Program (STP) is a three-week high school bridge program to be offered to entering West Virginia University (WVU) freshmen and gives students the opportunity to begin their university education immediately following their high school graduation.

STP students earn up to 7 credit hours; benefit from small classes of 25 or fewer students; live in a WVU residence hall; receive personal support from experienced faculty, staff and live-in tutors; and learn about WVU and college life before everyone else does! STP also offers fun and safe indoor and outdoor recreation and social activities simulating a real college experience. Students who participate in STP enter fall semester well-prepared for the rigors of college life and with the time-management and study skills that are so important to college success.

STP will run from Saturday, July 5th to Saturday, July 26th, 2008 (a three week program).

I can’t begin to tell you about all of the wonderful experiences this program has brought me, but I really recommend you consider taking a class. It will be very worthwhile, trust me. I was very upset when I had to leave to come here, but now I don’t even want to go home. You’ll learn how to deal as a freshman, know where everything is before you even come to WVU in the fall, gain independence, and meet life long friends who will always be there for you. It has been one of the best times of my life and I hope that you get to enjoy this program as much as I did.
