Humanities 101: Western Civilization to 1600
3 credit hours, no prerequisites
Hum 101 fulfills a General Education Curriculum requirement for almost all majors. Hum 101 presents the high points of Greco-Roman civilizations: their art, architecture, philosophy, religion, literature and music.
Psychology 101: Introduction to Psychology
3 credit hours, no prerequisites
Required for many majors and fulfills a General Education Curriculum requirement for most others. Survey of general psychology.
Mathematics 129: Pre-Calculus
4 credit hours, qualifying score on math placement exam, which must be taken during New Student Orientation.
Math 129 is a highly recommended first college math course to ensure success in Math 155, Calculus, and is required for a variety of majors, especially in the fields of engineering, science, math, and social science.
Chemistry 110: Introduction to Chemistry
2 credit hours, qualifying score on math placement exam, which must be taken during the New Student Orientation
Students who place into Chem 110 need to complete this course successfully prior to enrolling in any other chemistry courses.

Students are required to take a 3-credit hour ORIN 293 class that will fulfill the WVU Requirement for University 101
